Berner U Attracts large Student body

Tuesday at Berner U: About 40 breeders and owners learned to evaluate structure and movement in Marge Reho’s “Understanding Movement” clinic. Marge showed how to size up a dog visually and how to evaluate both puppies and dogs with a few hands on techniques. She offered guidelines for predicting adult dog structure from puppies based on her extensive experience as a breeder.
Then everyone got to take a look at dogs in action and see how the dog’s structure determined its gate.

Longshots: A steady stream of dogs came in to get their photos taken by Pat and Joye. It’s a great deal for $50 you get a cd with about 25 photos of your dog. Yours truly helped out yesterday but will be out and about getting more photos of the whole event today.

Tomorrow the Bernese Mountain Dog Specialty Show starts in Portland, Oregon.
Bringing my cameras and lots of questions, I wonder how many of the following I can cram in between the dog show events?

-Columbia River Gorge
-Japanese Garden
-Mt. St. Helen’s
-Powell’s Book Store
-Portland Saturday Market
-Columbia Sportswear Company Factory Outlet Store
-Yarn Stores
-Camera Stores

Hmmm, looks like I’ll need to do some prioritizing.
